Mick Foley,Charlotte, Dana Brooke and Bayley In-Ring Segment:
Mick welcomes us to the show. Summer may be over, but things are heating up on Monday Night Raw. Tonight we’ll find out whether or not Kevin Owens will defend his Universal Championship against Seth Rollins or both Rollins and Roman Reigns. Mick gives credit to the SmackDown Live Crew for the successful Backlash PPV. He feels that Raw still delivers the premiere women’s wrestling in sports entertainment. Mick introduces the WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte. Charlotte comes down to the ring with Dana Brooke. Charlotte is happy to see Mick Foley. Charlotte needs to get something off her chest and what a better place to do it than a front of the WWE Universe. Charlotte says Dana Brooke needs to apologize to her after losing to Bayley. She’s forming a petition to erase that loss from the record books. Apologize or Charlotte’s mentorship is over? Dana apologizes.
Mick is not here to talk about Charlotte’s personal grievances. Sasha Banks comes out to interrupt Charlotte. Sasha says that she’s the face of the women’s division and the boss of the WWE. Charlotte is looking at the woman who will take back the Women’s Championship in two weeks at Clash of Champions. Bayley joins the conversation. Bayley would love to see Sasha compete for the championship, but she defeated Charlotte last week. Bayley says that she’s deserves the title shot. Sasha and Bayley go way back to NXT, but when it comes to that title, they are no longer friends.
Sasha tells Bayley to get in the back of the line. Charlotte reminds Sasha about the beating she suffered at SummerSlam. Charlotte is the only champion in the ring, so Sasha is not allowed to dictate when she defends the title. Mick says that Charlotte is not allowed to dictate anything either. Charlotte calls Bayley a fan girl and doesn’t belong here. Dana Brooke says that maybe another best of seven series may be in order. Charlotte tells Brooke to calm down before she slaps her in the face again. Mick announces that Sasha Banks will take on Bayley in a Number One Contender’s match. Charlotte says that it’s Dana Brooke’s fault. Dana slaps Charlotte in the face. Mick changes his mind and Sasha Banks, Bayley and Dana Brooke will compete in the Number One Contender’s Triple Threat Match. That match is next.
First Match: Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Dana Brooke in a Triple Threat Match to Determine The Number One Contender To The WWE Women’s Championship
Charlotte joins the commentary team for this match. Brooke shoves Bayley into the ropes. Brooke slaps Sasha. Brooke goes to the ground and pound attack. Brooke with a big boot that knocks Bayley off the ring apron. Sasha works on Brooke in the corner. Sasha lands a vicious slap to the chest of Brooke for a two count. Bayley rolls Brooke up for a two count. Bayley bounces Brooke’s head on the top turnbuckle. Brooke drives her boot to the gut of Bayley. Bayley sends Brooke into the corner. Bayley with a leaping lariat for a two count. Bayley follows that up with a knee drop for a two count. Bayley gets Brooke tied in an armbar. Bayley continues to work on the wrist of Brooke.
Bayley with a deep arm drag takedown into an armbar. Sasha drags Brooke out of the ring. Sasha and Bayley have a stare off. Bayley and Sasha knocks Brooke off the ring apron.Brooke with a leg sweep that sends Sasha crashing to the outside. Brooke drives Sasha back first into the ring apron. Brooke gets Sasha in a bow and arrow stretch. Sasha with a sunset flip for a two count. Sasha with a series of forearms to Brooke. Sasha gets Brooke and Bayley tied in the tree of woe. Sasha with a double knees to Brooke, but Bayley rolls out of the way.
Bayley connects with the flying crossbody to Sasha for a two count. Brooke drops Bayley and Sasha with a double clothesline for a two count. Brooke sends Sasha back first into the turnbuckles. Brooke places Bayley on the top rope. Sasha plants Brooke and Bayley with the Tower of Doom for a two count. Sasha with a series of flying lariats to Brooke. Sasha connects with a dropkick. Sasha goes for the Backstabber, but Brooke holds onto the ropes. Sasha gets Brooke trapped in the Bank Statement, but Bayley breaks up the submission attempt. Bayley plants Brooke with the Bayley to Belly Suplex for a two count as Sasha breaks up the pin attempt. Sasha rolls Bayley up to pickup the victory.
Winner: Sasha Banks
Dana Brooke apologizes to Charlotte in the backstage area. Charlotte tells Brooke to shut up and get her bags.
